For my trip to New York in July 2018 I decided to stay at The James New York – NoMad. The last time I was in New York I stayed at the Riu Plaza Hotel next to the Time Square which was kinda crowded and next to too much trouble for me.
So I decided to stay at a place less crowded and a little offside of the Times Square and all the tourists. So this time I booked a hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
Location
The James New York – NoMad is located on 22E and 29St only 5 minutes away from Madison Square Park by foot.
While checking in, the staff was more than helpful and very obliging. I got all the information I needed of the environment, shops, bars and restaurants.
The Rooms at the James New York
The rooms are quite big for New York conditions, the bed is super comfy as well as the pillows.
The bathroom is small but has more than enough place and is stylish and chic with a marble optic.
Shampoo, conditioner, soap and shower gel where available as well as soft towels, bathrobes, a hair dryer, an iron with ironing board.
The only „disturbing“ was the bad isolated window of my room. I am a light sleeper and was located at the 8th floor. It was quite loud and I could hear cars, people and of course he traffic. I would ask the receptionist for a quite room if you decided to make a reservation at this charming hotel.
